One of us (FOH) lives in operations and process and has spent years in hospitality — 20+ of these leading multi-site operations, building teams, improving margins, opening venues, fixing systems, and navigating the realities of busy service.
The other (BOH) lives in community businesses, large-scale events, brand growth, pubs and independent business ownership — designing systems, leading teams, and building sustainable operations from the ground up.

We started 86 because we know how relentless this industry can feel — and we believe independent restaurants deserve practical, grounded support from people who’ve actually done the job.
