Our client is looking for City Centre Operatives to join their operations team based in York for a six week period, working within York City Centre, starting in November and running up to and including Christmas Eve.

This is a full time role, with different shift patterns involving early morning starts and late evenings.

There are additional unsociable hours and weekend enhancements on the rate of pay. Rate of pay is £13.86 per hour.

The purpose of this role is to carry out street cleansing within the city centre, the role will involve:

• Manually emptying street litter bins
• Lifting/moving ‘heavy’ items and moveable bins to stationary vehicles
• De-litter allocated areas (pavements, roadways and street furniture) using manual methods within the city centre of York
• You will be working outdoors in all weathers all of the time and there will be daily contact with dirt, dust and traffic noise. PPE clothing will be provided.

You MUST be willing to working outdoors at all times, and be physically fit, comfortable dealing with members of the public on a daily basis.
